Take Time to Enjoy Liverpool Scran with Liverpool Food People

Supported by Defra’s Great British Food Project, we’ve put together a little taster of some of the great food folk you’ll find in Liverpool at a pop up market for Light Night.

We’ll be in the courtyard at Blackburne House from 5pm til 10pm on Friday 19th May.

Not only do we have the Liverpool Cheese Company, Homebaked Anfield , the Real Junk Food Project Liverpool; we also have drop in workshops and food talk from Michelle O’Dwyer from Bay Tree Catering and Annie Levy from Kitchen Counter Culture; and advice on food growing from the Waterloo Forest Community Garden and Incredible Edible Childwall Valley. The students from the City of Liverpool College will be bringing their delicious jams (made from surplus fruits), the BEE You project will have all manner of local honey based products and Alison Appleton is bringing her wonderful teas and ceramics.

Michelle O'Dwyer's workshop menus looks like this…

• Patatas bravas
• Asparagus & sage risotto
• Asparagus & goats cheese frittata
• Elderflower fritters
• Nettle pesto pasta

All using foraged and supplied items from Incredible Edible Valley

The students from the City of Liverpool College jams and marmalade menu looks like this
• Giggleswick Plum
• Giggleswick Damson
• Damson and Star Anise
• Seville Orange Marmalade
• Oranges and Lemon Marmalade
• Ginger and Rhubarb Jam

Come and try, buy and ask questions! It’s TIME to discover Liverpool’s food people.
